What is going to happen to my funds?
Your funds remain safely in your account and are reflected on your account balance and protected by our Terms and Conditions; however, we ask that you withdraw all balances from your account at your earliest convenience. Beginning June 2nd, you will no longer be able to transact from your Paxos account, aside from withdrawing your funds.
What is the timeline?
If your Paxos account currently holds no funds, your account will be automatically closed on May 9th. If you maintain a balance in your Paxos account, we ask that you withdraw all balances from your account at your earliest convenience. Beginning June 2nd your account will be disabled. At that time, you will still be able to access and withdraw your funds; however, you will not have full access to Paxos’ platform to initiate new trades.
What would happen to my fiat balances?
You will be able to wire your fiat balance to the bank account linked to your itBit account that is under your name.
When will you begin accepting Canadian users again?
Paxos will continue to assess its readiness to re-enter the Canadian market in cooperation with the OSC at a future date.
What if my address has changed from the one on file?
If you have since moved out of Canada, please contact us here for further assistance.
If you have moved to Canada, we ask that you withdraw all balances from your account at your earliest convenience. Beginning June 2nd your account will be disabled. At that time, you will not have full access to Paxos’ platform to initiate new trades and access to your account and any funds left on the platform will require additional process.
I missed the deadline to withdraw funds. How can I get my money?
You will still be able to access your funds following the deadline, but there will be additional process and longer waiting periods. Please contact us here for further assistance.
If I do not have access to another exchange, how should I withdraw funds to a wallet?
You will be able to wire your fiat balance to the bank account linked to your itBit account that is under your name or withdraw digital assets held in your account to an external wallet. Please find additional instructions in our Help Center or contact us here for further assistance.
