Although we do not impose a limit on deposits, we have limits for order sizes. This means that when you are placing either a market order or a limit order with Paxos, you need to keep in mind the following size limits per single order:
Placing an order from the Paxos Platform:
Asset | Market Order | Limit Order |
BTC | $ 25,000 | $ 1,500,000 |
ETH | $ 25,000 | $ 1,500,000 |
PAXG | $ 25,000 |
$ 1,000,000 |
BCH, LTC | $ 20,000 | $ 1,000,000 |
MATIC, AAVE, UNI, LINK | $ 20,000 | $ 1,000,000 |
SOL | $ 20,000 | $ 1,000,000 |
Placing an order via API:
Asset | Market Order | Limit Order |
BTC, ETH | $ 500,000 | $ 1,500,000 |
BCH, LTC, PAXG, MATIC, AAVE, UNI, LINK, SOL | $ 500,000 | $ 1,000,000 |
Note: For a limit order, if you exceed the limit set for the order you are placing, you will receive the "NotionalValueTooLarge" error message as below:
In this case, you can contact our OTC desk to place a large order (steps here), or you can choose to re-try a smaller order size that is within the set limit for that particular asset and order type.
